Oh My Sweet Fowls

Meet Guinny and Lynnie.

I am proud to announce that they are the new members to our family.

I went to the local poultry markets to see what fun new editions I could find - thinking chickens! 

But not long after arriving I hear the auctioneer announce he had some pretty guinea fowls to sell. I looked to my beautiful man and said "can I?" before he had time to answer I was bidding like mad. They were always going to be ours after that and now they are and we could not be more in love with them. With such strange and sweet little personalities they have fit right in with our happy hens.

A beautiful pair that I hope are blissfully in love and ready to make many beautiful small babies to roam and play in our garden.

And tonight when I was reading up on them a little more I read that usually the male will only mate with one hen and they mourn the loss of each other, I thought that was so precious and tonight I love them even more after knowing that.

What sweet sweet creatures.
